Editing Widget headers
-
I am experimenting with importing my typepad blog, http://www.ffyrebird.com to wordpress.com. I have a test blog, http://ffyrebird.wordpress.com set up using the Coraline theme and have paid for the CSS upgrade.
I would like to know how to remove the borders around the Widget headers and change the color to red like the body of the widget text. Basically, I am trying to recreate the appearance of my typepad blog,so you can check that out to see what I’m aiming for.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The following will get rid of the top and bottom border, but since I cannot see your blog (set to private) I can’t help with the “red” issue since I can’t verify exactly what you are talking about. Are you talking about the text color, or a background for the text?
.widget-title { border-bottom:none; border-top:none; } -
Thank you so much!!!!!!! That was just what I needed to get rid of the borders. Awesome!!
Sorry about the invisible blog. I had the blog set to private since the CSS preview feature seems to be broken- I was altering CSS and saving the stylesheet then deleting it if it did not work and I didn’t want the blog flickering back and forth with all the revisions and re-revisions…… Plus, it just isn’t ready for public consumption until I clean up all the test posts, Import the updated Typepad blog files and fix the image links. Having said all that, I’ll go set it to public so you can see what I’m referring to.
I am trying to make the text for the widget headers red- actually ff0000, to be exact. This is the same color as the rest of the text in the widgets.

The code below will work. You can even just add the color part to the code recommended above.
.widget-title {color:#f00;} -
