Editing widget title

    Hi.

    The canard theme allows me to have a sidebar widget, I have added the recommended article widget.
    Now, the title appears with my tagline: Recent articles: Exploring the world | Going skin care organic.
    I would like it to be without the tagline: “Recent articles” and then the link to the articles.

    Thank you in advance for your help.
    Amanda

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi organicisblog

    This line of custom CSS should hide the heading of the widget for you.

    #jetpack_display_posts_widget-3 .widget-title {
        display: none;
    }

    Select Appearance > Customize > CSS from your Admin Dashboard and enter the custom CSS there.

    You need to be on the WordPress.com Premium Plan for custom CSS to save. You can only preview custom CSS on the free plan.

    Hi G4,

    Thank you for the quick answer, when I apply the css code you provided me with, it deletes the title completely, only the posts appears. I would like to remove only my tagline, which takes too much space.

    Have recent posts, and then the listing rather than recent posts + my tagline and then the listing.

    Hope it makes sense.
    Amanda.

    And,yes I am a premium member ;)

    With a premium plan, can I also also change the title color of my widget?

    It looks like you have removed the Recent Posts widget. If you decide to put it back let me know and I will have another look at it for you.

    Sure you can change the widget color. Are you wanting to change the color of the the whole widget area or only one specific widget.

    Hi,

    I realised I confused Recent posts with Recommended posts widget.
    I am happy to stick to recent post widget.
    About the colors, I would like to change the title color, say “OIB instagram” on my sidebar.
    Thanks.

    “About the colors, I would like to change the title color, say “OIB instagram” on my sidebar.”

    I’m not sure what you mean. I do not know what “OIB” means.

    I see you have an Instagram widget, with the title “Instagram”.

    Do want to change the color of the title “Instagram”?

    I only know how to change the color of all the widget titles. I can’t change only the color of the Instagram title.

    If you want to change the color of all the widget titles, add this to your CSS:

    h2.widget-title {
    color: #0000ff;
    }

    #0000ff is blue. Use this color picker to find the hex code for the color you want: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/ref_colorpicker.asp

    to change the color of the just the “OIB instagram” title.

    #wpcom_instagram_widget-8 .widget-title {
        color: #8B0C7A;
    }
