editing wordpress blogs

    I would like to edit my current blog posts for typo’s
    and other goofs. how do I do this? My e-mail is the
    following (email visible only to moderators and staff). I have tried pages
    but all I get is a regular word screen for typing a new
    document. Second question how do I get a picture above
    each blog, I have3 it on one and I think I got it by accident !
    I would appreciate help on this matter.
