Editoiral change – Classic
-
When I logged into my my blog site today to put up a new posting I was given a new screen with the option to choose the editing format. I may have misunderstood it but I read the explanation on the basis that if I chose Classic I would have the same system as previously. So I opted for Classic, and had a new page with blocks and without the previous font and size options. I entered my text and some of the internet links within it posted images from the sites which the old method did not., and which I do not want included. I also had problems with some of the blocks not working properly. . What can I do to use the old editing method?
Thanks

I don’t think you can go back. Unfortunately, it appears this new method is here to stay. BUT… there is a loophole. If you Create or edit a post, then click on the plus sign (Add Block), you should see something that says “Classic” When you click on it the Classic format emerges on the block. If you do NOT see “Classic” then click on “Browse All”. A menu on the left side of the screen will pop up and you will see “Classic”. The following link below would provide more insight…

Hi,
You can try to access the Classic editor using this link.

There is also a Classic block that is similar to the Classic editor.

The classic editor is being retired.
Here is information about how to use blocks.

Using blocks with a little practice you may find is not as difficult as it might seem.
