editor is smashing words together

    The new editor keeps smashing my words together. I posted it and it’s right. Then I go back and look at it and there’s a dozen or more words that have been combined with other words and the spaces that’s separate my words are eliminated. Help!

    Thanks so much for getting in touch! This sounds like it has been quite frustrating.

    Which post can I look at to find an example of the word-smashing? Please share the title or the link.

    It would also be super helpful if you can provide a few more pieces of information so we can try and replicate the behavior on our end.

    – browser version
    – does it happen in a different browser
    – or if you’re using the app, which type andversion
    – steps to take to produce the word-smashing
    – have you noticed a pattern or something that triggers that action

    For now, you can return to using the classic editor. I hope that can limit some frustrations you’ve experienced. Just click on the ... in the upper right hand corner of the post editing screen. A menu will pop up, look to the bottom, switch to classic editor.

    It happened in my last two posts: discernment and discretion: a call to action for young people and Donor Advised Fund: impact on the charity you love. I use Firefox and an iPhone 7 with the most updated app. It happened in both of them. In fact, in the Donor Advised Fund article I saw it on Firefox and fixed it on my phone. For the last article, the discernment post, there were over a dozen incidents. In that case I waited until I was back at my computer and did it through Firefox.

    Thank you for offering the solution of the old editor, which was what I used until it seemed like it was no longer available. I much prefer that version anyway.
