Editor – No Fonts Option

    I have one site that uses the editor theme, but I just created a new site with my own domain that is running off of wordpress so I want to recreate the old site with the new domain. So I chose the editor theme, but it seems different, there’s no font option and a few other customizations are missing. Any idea why?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Is this the new site you’re referring to? https://guuber1.wordpress.com/

    I noticed this site has a different theme active. If you’re trying to use the same theme on your new site, please activate the Editor theme on this site here: https://wordpress.com/theme/editor

    Fonts are handled differently in different themes, so it’s expected that you won’t find the same font settings for all themes. You can learn more about using custom fonts here: https://wordpress.com/support/custom-fonts/

    hi, the original site is theguuber.wordprss.com and the new one is theguuber.ca, they are both using Editor

    Hi there,

    The difference is due to one site being hosted on WordPress.com (theguuber.wordprss.com), while the other, despite having the same theme installed, is self-hosted (theguuber.ca).

    There may be certain features that you had access to on the self-hosted version of the theme that you may not have on the dotcom version, and vice versa. What customizations in particular are you unable to access?

    Ok, I know for sure the Font is missing but can’t remember atm what others (can’t access the site at work). Just wondering why there would be different features, since they’re both using the same wordpress app? Is it a different version that’s running on my self hosted site?

    Self-hosted WordPress.org sites can run a bit more than WordPress.com sites, so some built-in theme features may not be available here: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

    With that said, we do have some font options: https://wordpress.com/support/custom-fonts/
