Editor Not fitting to my screen in Firefox and Chrome
-
When I attempt to use either the visual or HTML editors on my blog to wrrite something, the text window goes below my taskbar in Firefox and Chrome. I’ve tried resizing the window, using fullscreen, and minimising my taskbar entirely, but it’s like the window always needs to be longer than the screen. This means I can’t see when I type beyond a certain point and have to stop to scroll every line or two. Chrome is slightly less bad, as I can see the top of the words, but that doesn’t help me read as I type.

None of these steps changed anything.
My primary browser is Firefox 58.0.,2, though this issue has persisted across multiple installations of Firefox and Chrome on multiple installations. I’m using WordPress via a Windows 10 desktop (windows version 1709).

Hi there,
Can you please take a screen shot of what you’re seeing and upload that to your media library at My Site ->Media? Also take a screen shot of the info that appears at the link below and upload that as well:
-
I have uploadedto my site’s media an image titled supportdetails which captures the information from the supportdetails.com site and one titled “demo” with a screenshot from Chrome, because it’s the one where text slightly shows above the bottom of the screen. However, even in Chrome I’m not sure it actually shows off the problem (the text and cursor are barely visible), and in Firefox–my primary browser–none of it shows up because it’s all below the line. I’ve done my best to comply, however.

Your screen shot does not show the text extending to below the Windows task bar. It shows the text obscured by the strip inside the editor containing the word count. Is that what you’re speaking of?
If so, that is a known issue with the editor. I’ll add your report to the bug report about this, but it likely won’t be fixed before the new Core WordPress editor, called Gutenberg, launches in a few weeks. The Core team are already working on preventing this in Gutenberg, so once that editor is available here you likely won’t have that issue any more.
