Editor problems

Hi.
I sent this query a couple of days ago:
Since then, I am no longer able to use the improved editor. If I am in the basic editor and then click to change to the improved editor, it takes me to a blank new post instead of the post I am working on. Help please.
Below is my initial problem, still unresolved.
1 First I highlight a URL and click copy. Then I paste URL into post, in admin editor. Once copied into my post, I highlight the URL in my post and click on the link icon. Nothing happens.
2 I import an image from my media library into my post. I click on the image hoping to see edit icon, but I see nothing.

The kind of problems you describe sound like browser issues. Please try the following:
-Make sure you are using an up to date browser, Chrome and Firefox preferred, although some issues have been reported with the latest release of Firefox (57).
-Log out of WordPressdotcom
-Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, which will also log you out of any other site you are currently logged in to
-Shut down your browser entirely
-Reopen your browser and then log back in to WordPressdotcom.Other browser troubleshooting tips can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
If doing those steps doesn’t resolve the issue, please post back here on this thread rather than opening a new thread, and let us know what browser and version you are using. We’ll try to help you from there.

Hi. Thanks. I have done as advised and no luck. However, I have tried using Chrome rather than Internet Explorer (11) and can successfully use the basic editor that way. However, I can still not use the improved editor (in Chrome). I would prefer to use Explorer and although I currently prefer the basic editor, I would like to be able to use both. Currently in Explorer I can use neither. Can you offer any further advice please? Thank you

Do you have Javascript enabled on all your browsers?
Do you have an ad blocker enabled in your browser? If so, try disabling it.
Do you have anti-virus enabled on your computer? If so, try disabling.
Can you connect to WordPressdotcom from another computer in your location?
Can you connect to WordPressdotcom from a different location?Let us know how that goes.
