Editor Theme Sidebar Missing

Why won’t my left sidebar widgets show up?!? I keep having widget problems with WordPress and it makes me sad. This theme is supposed to have a left sidebar, but it only shows my menu. Menu options are WAY more limited than widgets/sidebars. Please help!!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The theme you choose to use has a very narrow sidebar. The left sidebar is dynamic and 20 percent of the width of the main content area. Here is the link to the detailed theme description page to assist with set up http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/editor/
Also note that widgets have visibility settings that determine which pages they will display on. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/#widget-visibility

Some of your widgets have to be unhidden by clicking on the folder tab at the top of your sidebar.

One small correction: all your sidebar widgets are hidden until someone clicks on the folder icon at the top left of this theme. The default sidebar display is your site’s menu.
In addition to the theme’s showcase page to learn more about setting up your site with this theme, I really suggest looking at the demo site as well. https://editordemo.wordpress.com/

On two websites I tested the Editor theme on, an alphanumerical list of “Pages” are shown in the sidebar by default. Without looking at the Widgets page, I’d assumed it was a widget, which is why I said that “some” widgets must be unhidden.
The fact that pages actually display in the absence of a Pages widget with the Editor theme apparently interferes with Visibility settings if you do have a Pages widget activated. With a Pages widget activated, and the visibility set to hide the widget — for example “Hide if Page is Page,” or “Hide if Page is Post — the link list of all pages will still display in the sidebar, unless you click on the folder icon to unhide the widgets.
I presume the “exclude” option on the Pages widget would also fail to prevent the default display of pages with this theme, but haven’t yet tested that.
