Editors updating text originally input with an HTML widget

So I am checking out what all I can and can’t do with the free WordPress.com site. This would be for a fairly small state agency site. Currently I am trying to find out how someone I set up as an editor, who doesn’t work in HTML, can update the items I have input on the home page of a WordPress.com site via HTML widgets. I used the widgets in Twenty Twelve because I need two columns under the banner. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Editors on a site cannot make changes to widgets. Only admins can do that.

There is no workaround for this, as that is how user permissions on WordPress.com works. If someone is not an admin, they won’t have access to the Customizer at all, and won’t see Widgets in the menu in the WP-Admin dashboard.
