Edits appearing as comments?

  Hi,

  I changed my site from ‘private’ to ‘public’ yesterday and I noticed that when I made some changes to the text in one of my posts, the comments section seemed to have a record of it, asking me to approve or dismiss the comment. Since I am the only author to my blog, and I was editing a post, why is this happening? I am really confused.

  I think you’re referring to Pingbacks. You”ll get those if you link in a post or page to another post or page on your site. You may safely delete these “comments,” since they are redundant, links in the comments section to a post/page already linked to in the same post/page.
