  Someone else created our WordPress website several years ago. They are no longer available. I’ve been able to do some fundamental items but really need to learn about WordPress. I’ve done some updates but fear if something goes wrong. I’ve got someone trying hourly to get into our website. So I need Education! Where can I go to learn WordPress step by step?

  However note that you are posting into the WordPress.com support forum and those links apply specifically to sites hosted here. If your unnamed site is actually hosted elsewhere and using the WordPress.org software (where things can often work quite differently to here at WordPress.com then see: https://wordpress.org/support/

  Let’s start with knowing the differences between WordPress and WordPressdotcom. :)

  WordPress comes in 2 flavors: the fully hosted WordPressdotcom platform (where we are ) and the open source WordPress software that you can download at https://wordpress.org This support guide explains some of the differences between them: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  If you mean the WordPress open source software, all the documentation can be found at https://wordpress.org/support/
