edward lorilla is stalking my blog
-
For the past several months someone named edward lorilla keeps liking, unliking and liking the same one or two posts on my blog. When I erase them from my follower list, they just make a new name with numbers and follow again the same or next day.
Today, they followed my blog twice under the names – edwardlorilla2391towerbloggercom
edwardlorilla2343towerbloggercomIs there anyway to stop this? I’m concerned they are trying to hack into my site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there, thanks for the report. We’ll see if we can get to the bottom of this. In the meantime, would you let us know if they use any other names to follow and unfollow your site?

Thank you. We have reported them to our Terms of Service team and they’re working on blocking all of their accounts.

The same thing has been an ongoing issue for me for the last month. As with you, I too am having no luck with simply removing them. These are so far the two accounts that have re-followed me in the last 48 hours:
edwardlorilla2235towerbloggercom
edwardlorilla2295towerbloggercom -
He’s also stalking my blog https://tishfarrell.com
I deleted several variations, but he’s back today:
@edwardlorilla2234towerbloggercom -
I’ve seen the same
edwardlorilla2202gmailcom
edwardlorilla2203gmailcom
edwardlorilla2176tower
edwardlorilla2123tower
I’ve removed them all and hope they stay that way.

Thanks, folks. Our community guardians are working to prevent this.
For now, when this person follows you, I recommend just leaving them there as a follower. They will be removed as soon as the guardians resolve the issue. Until then, when you remove them they’re likely to just follow again.
If you are worried about them seeing what you post on your site, please do note anyone can read what’s on a public site, even if they don’t click the follow button. Please be mindful of what you choose to share publicly.
If you want to make a post that you only want to share with real friends and not with the web, while keeping the rest of the site public, you might consider password protecting the post and sharing the password only with them.

Same here. edwardlorilla2202gmailcom has followed me 4 times in one day. He’s a bot, most likely.
Maybe he’s trying to improve my stats. lol
My site is: http://www.storiform.com

We don’t need additional reports about this particular issue as once it’s fixed, it’ll fix it for everyone on WordPress.com.
For now, when this person follows you, I recommend just leaving them there as a follower. They will be removed as soon as the guardians resolve the issue. Until then, when you remove them they’re likely to just follow again.
Thanks!
