Effect of upgrading to premium

    I have a free wordpress.com site with a custom domain name, ottawahospitalnegligence.org. I’m new to all of this. I use the free Blaskan theme. I am thinking of upgrading to WordPress premium, mainly so I can embed video and audio. Does the process of ugrading to premium risk damaging content or breaking anything on the site? How complicated is the upgrade process? Thanks.
