Effective Tagging/Catagorising

  Hi Everyone,

  I’ve recently been trying to revamp my blog, make it more user friendly, and just generally make it feel and look better.

  Has anyone got any kind of tips? I’m not sure if I’m using the right theme, but at the moment my blog is very text heavy and little pictures, and I’m limited to the free themes available.

  Also, how do I make it so my blog only shows a certain number of posts on a page, and you have to click something like ‘older posts’ to view more – currently mine appear all together and it makes for a long and slow loading page which I just don’t feel is very effective.

  I’m also looking for more content ideas – so if you have anything that you feel students would like to read about, or need to know, then feel free to tell me. I’m open to absolutely anything!

  Go to > Settings > Reading
  enter the number off posts yopu want to display on the main page for posts here:
  Blog pages show at most __ posts

  Scroll down to “To infinity and beyond” and disable infinite scroll.
  Click “save changes”

  The rule of thumb for assigning categories and tags to posts is less is more. If you want your posts to display in the SERPS (search engine pages results) and on the WordPress.com Topics pages then you assign the combined minimal number of relevant categories and tags that accurately describe post content.
