https://eightiesdemo.wordpress.com/type/image/ appears to be an archive page of posts assigned to the “image” format. There’s only one post of that “type,” but still above the front page link to the post the archive page is titled “Images.” The comparable URL on your website is http://candiceashley.com/type/image.
How do I get my images to apear like that and have the headings etc on top of the photo?
The reason why http://candiceashley.com/type/image does not look like the analogous page in the demo is that your image is content of the post, whereas the background image in the demo page, https://eightiesdemo.wordpress.com/type/image/, is a feature image, and the post format is set on “Image.” These are the principal differences. Once you’ve made those changes your page will look almost like the demo page. The title will show in a window with a white background on the left side of the feature image. Note that if you click on the title in the demo page, it goes to the post itself: https://eightiesdemo.wordpress.com/2014/07/08/beach-bums-for-a-day/, which has the title below the feature image, and no content.
Here’s a summary of the things you need to do to get yours to look like the page in the demo:
1. Set the post format to “Image” in the post format module at the top right of the post editor.
2. Upload a feature image at the feature image module also found at the right of the post editor.
3. Add categories if desired. One thing I haven’t figured out. In my test website, there are two windows below the title window overlaying the feature image on the page I created modeled on https://eightiesdemo.wordpress.com/type/image/. One window contains any text content of the post, while the other contains any images uploaded and embedded into the post. The confusing thing is that if you create no post content those two windows remain displayed, though quite small. I’ve been unable to figure out how to get rid of them.

AH you beautiful petunia! :) I sat up half the night trying to work out why it didn’t work. Thank you sooo much. Have a look now if you like. You are a legend. :)
