    Do I have to upgrade to Biz in order to get plugins? Are there any free plugins without upgrading to biz account on wordpress?

    Hi there,

    To upload 3rd party plugins (such as Elementor) does require our WordPress.com Business Plan or higher, yes.

    The self-hosted version of WordPress (which is used to set up sites on traditional web hosts like GoDaddy, Bluehost, etc.) is more advanced and completely DIY, but would also allow you to add 3rd party plugins or themes. 

    Please note that this version of WordPress is usually the choice of web designers and developers, as well as advanced users, so it does not come with support like you have here.

    It is worth noting that a Business plan site on WordPress.com has the same capabilities as a self-hosted WordPress site, but with the added advantage of being hosted on our dedicated and fully managed platform.
