Elementor Headr&Footer plugin messed up after today upgrade

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello again Team,

this morning while in a rush to get ready to go to work, i upgraded a couple of WP plugins and one of them was Elementor Header & Footer Builder.

Now i came back from work, tried to do some work on the page and both header and footer are messed up (big time) showing several line of elementor html code.

these are on the Left of the Header

    /*! elementor – v3.17.0 – 08-11-2023 */ .elementor-widget-image{text-align:center}.elementor-widget-image a{display:inline-block}.elementor-widget-image a img[src$=”.svg”]{width:48px}.elementor-widget-image img{vertical-align:middle;display:inline-block}

and a similar bunch of code of many more lines (at least 100+) is displayed on the Right side of the footer (it’s a pity that I can’t attach a screenshot).

    I did :

    1. deactivated the plugin and reactivated, -> no go
    2. deleted the plugin and reinstalled, -> no go
    3. recreate another header and Footer, -> no go

Is anyone experiencing anything similar? does anyone know what could have happened? and whether it can be fixed?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble you’re experiencing with the Elementor Header & Footer Builder. It sounds like a frustrating situation, and I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve it.

Considering that maltabackpainclinic.com is not hosted at WordPress.com, sadly we won’t be able to directly troubleshoot the issue. Since the problem arose after upgrading the Elementor plugin, it would be best to reach out to Elementor’s support directly for assistance since they are in the best position to help. They should be able to provide specific guidance on how to address the unexpected display of code in your header and footer.

In the meantime, if you’re considering moving your site to WordPress.com, we do offer in-house support for all sites hosted on WordPress.com. You can use our import tool to seamlessly migrate your site. Here’s a link to guide you through the process:

If there’s anything else I can assist you with, or if you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Thanks!

I must admit that replies like this are even more frustrating!

And I understand that wordpress is hunting for business but, is this not a forum where users help each other? or, perhaps, wordpress forums should be better listed as “wordpress sales-centre”?

The site I was referring to is not even the one you mentioned but apparently this “forum” is a one-way ticket to: buy-with-us-or-goodbye.

Anyhow, thanks for the ‘excellent’ tip
