Elementor/WordPress won’t publish

    I’m new to all this misery, using Elementor with WordPress. I press the publish button in Elementor, but all I have at the actual live web site is what appears to be information from Word Press’ ‘General Settings’ area, including the tag line information. Why won’t Elementor publish the page?

    I”m researching online everything I can, but to no avail to figure out what’s wrong with my publishing of an Elementor page.

    Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with DreamHost.

    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.     Thanks, macmanx, for your input, very very much.

    But I figured out something (by trial and error): I discovered that if I publish with the Elementor “publish” button, from Elementor, the page doesn’t upload (i.e., it doesn’t appear at the url address.

    However, if I publish from the Themes-Customize page (using that button) it works!

    I’d imagine other people must have run into this problem. Do you have any idea why this would only publish from the WordPress Themes/Customize page, and not from Elementor itself?

    So, what I have to do is edit in the “Edit with Elementor” mode, but when I’m ready to publish I need to go over to the WordPress Themes/Customize area to push the “publish” button there.

    Thanks again for your time/energy in addressing this. I’m just doing my baby steps, and this little accomplishment for me is huge.

    Hello there,

    As far as I know, you should be able to publish from inside of Elementor, when working on a page or post.

    If this is not happening, I would advise that you reach out to Elementor support here for further assistance: https://elementor.com/support/
