-
Since the new dashboard was opened I get a large empty border/space at the bottom of my page

How can I fix?
Thanks! -

Have you put anything in your sidebar? Offhand, I’m going to say it looks like your widgets have gone dark AND fallen to the bottom of the page. Try what it says here:

I don’t see anything. Set your blog to display only one post per page (settings > reading) and then go through them one at a time to see which causes the issue.

Thanks guys…I put four widgets up but they can’t get to the top pf the blog.
What is the maximum size a photo can be without blocking the column?
It doesn’t look too big? -
The big blank space at the bottom of your blog looks better than before.
For my own blog, I rescale on my PC to 440-pixels wide. (I use XP and a utility called Photo Toolkit which is easy to use and provides just the basics; great for blog photos!)
I did a test of the three sizes WP 2.5 provides here:
You can see WP Full Size looks less than 450-wide, but it doesn’t show the entire picture (at least it didn’t for me!).

I don’t know about the black letterhead theme as it is not listed in the FAQ. I would go with what mikecane suggests. I think when I was using that theme, I was using either 440 or 450 wide.

>>>I wonder how wide the Youtube screens are?
I’ve seen some huge ones recently on non-WP blogs.
Standard size seems to be, give or take a pixel or two, 420×352. Just measured!

FIXED!
I had aligned my last blog to the center and the top image and youtubes were too large when center aligned.
I returned everything to ‘align right’ and problem solved.
Thanks for all the suggestions!

Glad it’s resolved for you. You can change this thread to “Resolved” at the top if you like.
