Eliminating “Leave a Reply” on Home Page
-
I have WordPress theme Twenty-Elven. With the showcase template, all new posts are displayed on my home page. Next to each post are the words “leave a reply.” I want to see the list of posts but not the “leave a reply” verbiage. What is the css for removing this words? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I added the following css:
.leave-reply {
visibility: hidden;
}It hides the words “Leave a Reply” but leaves underscore lines where the words used to be. How do get rid of the lines?

The more I think about it, I want to replace “Leave a Reply” with other text. How do I do this? Thanks, and sorry for the confusion.

Hi there, the following will remove the leave a reply link from the posts on the main page.
.home .comments-link { display: none; } -
To change the text, go to settings > discussion in your dashboard, scroll down to the bottom and you can change the “leave a reply” prompt.

Hi Sacred Path,
How do I remove the ‘Enter your comment here…’ window along with the ‘leave a reply’ prompt.
Thanks

You can turn comments off for pages or posts on a global basis (for all future pages or posts) at Settings > Discussion under “Default Article Settings”.
For existing posts or pages, you can turn those off either using the Quick Edit feature, or by opening the post/page in the editor and disabling them in the discussion module. If the discussion module isn’t visible in the editor window, go to screen options at upper right and enable it.
