Eliminating ads from my site
-
I want to eliminate ads and am happy to upgrade, but I don’t want to have to rebuild my site. How can I do that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi. WP.com sites automatically have advertisements placed on them, if you want them eliminated you have to pay for an upgrade to your account.
At WordPress.com, we sometimes display advertisements on your blog to help pay the bills. This keeps free features free! The ads your viewers will see are determined by their location, browsing histories, and other factors.

Thanks for the response! I get it and am happy to upgrade, it’s just that when I click the link you referenced, it looks like I have to rebuild the site from scratch. It took me ages to do the first one, so I’m hoping there’s a way I can just upgrade the account and pay the $.

Upgrading to the Personal plan won’t alter the look of your site. It will give you the no ads upgrade, more storage space for images and the option of a free custom domain name.

Cool But I just went to do this and although it says in the text that the cost is $48, the button to pay says $78. Why the difference?

Make sure you are upgrading your existing site and not creating a new one. Is the larger amount for two years? Make sure you’ve clicked on the Personal plan as the Premium plan is highlighted by default. To upgrade: https://wordpress.com/plans
