  I am trying to change my email but when I enter in the new email in account settings it gives me an error message at the top saying ERROR: Please enter an email address. When I go down to the email section it shows that there is a pending change to my email but I have never received that email on either the old or the new email and have tried to do this several times.

  It seems that you’re in the wrong support forum. You are using the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com. This forum helps the sites hosted on WordPress.com only.
