I’m trying to change my email and when I enter the two emails I use they say that they are already in use. I don’t have any other blogs with these emails. Can anyone help me get those email addresses removed so I can update my current blog with one of them?

Hi there,
What is the email address you want to use for your WordPress.com account so I can have a look and see if it’s been used on another account?
Please note that the email address will only be visible to me and other staff members.

Good morning,
Thank you for your response. A few years ago I had a blog which I deleted that I used this email address for. The email address is: (email visible only to moderators and staff). The blog should not be active. Is there a way to release this email? The blog address was: https://hisfreedomwriter.wordpress.com I have gone to check it out and it has been deleted. I would love to use that email for my current blog.Thank you,
Jewelz -
Thanks! That email address you are attempting to use is associated with another WordPress.com account. Because each email address can only be associated with one WordPress.com account, it will not allow you to use the same email again.
To solve the issue, you can use a different email address that is not already in use, or you can log in to the account currently using your desired email address and change it to something else. Once changed, you can then reuse the email on a different account.
If you requested the change but did not receive the email confirmation to finalize it (or the confirmation did not work), please let us know.

The problem is that I do not have another email address available and I really don’t want to set one up just to change an email for an old blog that isn’t activated any longer. The only email addresses I currently have say they are in use. One of them is with the old deleted blog that I shared earlier, (email visible only to moderators and staff) The other I used yesterday to try and start the new blog but could never get it to work so I deleted the new blog. It was (email visible only to moderators and staff)
I discovered that I could add a new blog to my existing log in so I deleted the one from yesterday. Now all of my email addresses (which there are 3) say they are in use and cannot be changed. One of those email addresses, which is attached to this blog I do not use so I wanted to change to my primary one. I don’t want a 4th email address. Is there not some way you can remove one of the two (listed above) emails that are not in use because the blogs don’t exist? -
sorry I was logged into the old blog trying to reset the email. Please respond to this post. I will repeat what I had written above:

If you’re using Gmail, you don’t need another email.
Gmail has a built-in alias feature: Let’s say you have an email,
(email visible only to moderators and staff)that you’re using with your WordPress.com account. You can create an alias,
(email visible only to moderators and staff), and use that for another account. Our system will see these as different emails, but Gmail sees them as the same, so any emails sent to the alias will go to your regular inbox. Is there not some way you can remove one of the two (listed above) emails that are not in use because the blogs don’t exist?
The blogs may not exist, but the username account still does.
If you have a username you’re not going to use again, you can also delete the username completely. Then the email connected to that username will be released after 30 days, at which point you can use it with another account.

Also note that you don’t need a new email if you just want a new blog. You can create as many blogs/sites as you want under the same username. To create a new site under your
jewelz57username, go to My Sites ->Switch Site, and click the Add New Site option at the bottom.A different email address is only required if you want to create the new blog under a completely different and new username account.
