    unable to forward email

  • Good Morning –

Thanks for writing to us. Email forwarding works with custom domains. Administrators on sites with the Free, Personal, and Premium plans (and the legacy Starter plan) can add five email forwards for each domain.

Email Forwarding lets you use your custom domain in your email address, so your email address can be just as memorable as your site. All your mail will be forwarded to another email address you choose. For example: if your email address is (email visible only to moderators and staff), and you have the domain example.com in your site, you can set up (email visible only to moderators and staff) using Email Forwarding. Emails sent to jsmith@e

I can see that ominouscollection.com is registered to your account. Before we get too far in to the email forwarding I want to make sure you know that there are more robust email solutions available as part of our upgraded hosting plans. Those details are on that page I shared above. The plans can be found at https://wordpress.com/pricing/ .

Our team can definitely guide you as to which option is the right starting point for the project and budget. We just need to know some more details about the project:

    – what type of site
    – what do you imagine the visitor experience to be
    – what features are needed (store, scheduling, etc…)

  • Hey there,

    Many thanks for reaching out!

    email not working

It’s possible to set up email forwarding with a custom domain, but I don’t see a custom domain on this site – is there a domain you’re looking to use on the site?

A domain can be purchased via Domain > Add New > Search for a domain. Once purchased, email forwarding can be set up as per this guide here: https://wordpress.com/support/add-email/email-forwarding/

Alternatively, if there’s domain purchased outside of WordPress.com, this can be connected as per these steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/ and then you should be able to set up email forwarding.

I hope this information is useful so far!

    Speak soon.
