  I tried that. I have just written and published from the wordpress app an article but it does not appear on my blog at all

  I’m afraid I don’t use apps whatever they are but there is loads of info about connecting your site and specific forums and whatnot here: https://apps.wordpress.com/support/

  The app is just the same as the website. You can use it to write articles offline and then just publish when ready.
  My problem is I have published an article but it’s not showing in my blog or anywhere even though wordpress tells me it’s live!

  Yeah, I know what apps are but to me it’s just an extra link in the chain that can complicate things. Are you sure you created a post rather than a page? Have you tried overwriting the first “The Journey begins” placeholder post and seeing if that publishes?
