Email Account Deleted – Cannot retrieve password

  Hello,

  I run a blog at http://soundsthatmatter.wordpress.com

  We recently moved that blog to a self-hosted WordPress install, but the domain is still at WordPress.com. Unfortunately, the email account associated with the “soundsthatmatter” login is no longer functioning, so we can’t retrieve the password for the account to change the nameservers.

  Can anyone let me know what my best recourse is for changing these? Can we retrieve or change our account info in another way?

  You will need Staff help. In order to help you get access to your blog Staff need one of the following things in order to correctly identify you as the blog owner:

  1. an email sent to support@wordpress.com from the email address associated with the account or revealing what that associated email address was

  2. the wordpress.com API key for your account. This was included in your welcome email with a note to keep it safe. Please do not post the API key here. You can send it to the email address I posted above

  3. if you have purchased any upgrades for the blog a transaction number send it to the email address I posted above.
