Email accounts invalid

    MSN/Outlook Mail have terminated – without warning – all of my hotmail addresses. My WordPress press accounts were tied to those addresses.

    WordPress will nit allow me to use my regular email address of (email visible only to moderators and staff) because it says it is already in use – but it is in use on an account I no longer wish to support or make use of.

    Outlook will not permit me to create any other additional email addresses to recapture my old account email files and WordPress will not allow me to use my regular email address for my blog.

    I’m lost and confused. Can anyone help?

    Hi there,

    Each WordPress.com account must use a unique email address, so you can’t use an email address for your account if it is already linked to a different account. You can read more about that here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/email-address/

    Since your regular email address is on an account you no longer want to use, you could switch the email address on that account to a different address. Then your regular email address will be free to use with your main WordPress.com account.
