email activation

I’m trying to change my email address and it keeps telling me that an email is sent to the new address, but it is not being received.
-
Hi @onceuponamane,
Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes they catch things they shouldn’t :)
-
Yes, I keep checking my spam, “other” and “focused” folders many times. I’ve checked that I typed it correctly multiple times.

Hi there,
What is your email address? I can verify on this end that the email is indeed being sent. No worries providing your email in the forums – they are redacted from public view and only staff can see them.
Also, note that if the email you updated to is a
gmailaddress, our emails also end up in social tab quite a bit – so, I’d be sure to check there as well. Thanks!

Thanks for your help….

Thanks Gemma, for whatever reason this seems to be sending from Gravatar. Can you look for this subject?
[Gravatar] Verify email addition
-
Yes, I have that one and it let’s me into Gravatar, although that original email link is now expired. Should I try to cancel my Gravatar account, do the email change and then re-establish Gravatar?
All of those functions are on the same page, and I was doing them all at the same time.
-
Please don’t try cancelling your Gravatar account, no – your Gravatar account and your WordPress.com account are the same thing.
Are you trying to change the current email for your account, or trying to add an additional email to your existing Gravatar profile?
If you’re trying to change the primary email for your account, that should be done from the WordPress.com account settings page at https://wordpress.com/me/account/, and the logs for your account doesn’t show any recent attempts to make a change to that email.
