Hi, I need to update the email address linked to my blog, retailradar.wordpress.com , as it is currently tied to my work email and needs to be tied to my personal email. I believe that an older blog I had with you, theretailroundup.wordpress.com , which was tied to my personal email, however despite deleting this blog, I still cannot use my personal email. Please advise.

To change your email address you can go to https://wordpress.com/me/account and then input your new email. Once you have your new email address entered be sure to save your changes. If you get an error message please copy it and let us know so we can help further!

Hi,
I know HOW to change it, it just WON’T change it. The email address I want to use going forwards was originally being used for a different blog, hosted by WordPress. Even though this blog has been deleted, it has not released the email address. So when I try to change the email address (whether through the path you outline above, or by adding a new person to the blog), I receive the error ‘That e-mail address is already being used.’

Hi there,
Email addresses are changed to a username account, not to a site.
https://theretailroundup.wordpress.com/ was created by the same account you’re using to post here, aej99, so was also associated to the email address appearing in your account settings.
It’s possible the email you’re trying to use is tied to a completely different username account. To check that, log out of this account, or open a different browser, and try doing a password reset with that email address. That will allow you to log into the account in question and change the email address for that account. That will free up the email address so you can use it for this account.

retailradar.wordpress.com – this is my tech/retail blog, which is tied to my work email, and needs changing to my personal email
retailroundup.wordpress.com – this is an earlier version of the blog mentioned above, and has been deleted
twin2ition.wordpress.com – this is my personal/lifestyle blog, which, it transpires, uses the email address that I want to attach to the tech/retail blog, retailradar (it is a blog set up with a friend, and uses their email to log in – however, there is a person/author attached, Lizbus, which uses the email I need to free up).Any help you can give me at this point about how to have my personal email attached to both retailradar and twin2ition would be great!

Update:
I have found the username attached to the email I want to free up, Lizbus, on my twin2ition blog. However, when I try to delete the user (no posts have been made under the username), I get this message:
Remove Users from Site
You have specified this user for removal:
ID #33187971: lizbus The current user will not be removed.
There are no valid users selected for removal.
