The email on my account settings is now defunct. When I put in new address, it says it’s already being used.

What is the email address you’re trying to use? Type it on its own line, and only staff will be able to see it.
If the email address is already in use with another account, you’ll need to log into the other account first and change that account’s email to something else. That will free up the email address so you can use it for this account.
