  Hey. I registered a domain name for my blog (guttersplash.com) last week and I’d like to get an email address that’s relevant to it e.g. (email visible only to moderators and staff)

  Can you help me out with how I would go about getting that?

  Also, I see down below in the “Blog URL” field that “.wordpress” is still between my page name and “.com”. Is this just in relation to the contact support field or does it mean that there’s a fault with my actual domain name?

  To add email, you will need your own email provider, and can then connect that with your custom domain. See the following documentation for instructions:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/

  As for your website, you will always have the underlying WordPress.com address, but when visitors go to your site they will see your custom domain. What you’re seeing is just a function of our support forums.
