email address deactivated and blog can't be accessed
-
this topic is about armchairguy.wordpress.com but the url doesn’t show up on the drop down field of this form.
i’m doing a little house cleaning and wanted to access my old (almost forgotten) blog called armchairguy.wordpress.com
after trying and retrying accessing it with my usual credentials, i finally remembered that i deactivated an the old (and little utilized) email address i used for the blog, ie [email address removed from public forum]
therefore, requesting login or password automated reset assistance is futile because the reset links are likely being sent to the deactivated email address above,
and i really don’t want to re-activate that old email address via my isp because i deactivated it for cleaning up my email address’s a while back.in any case, i simply want to transfer that old blog to one of my more active accounts.
any ideas would be helpful.
thanks.
ps: i could leave that blog alone and simply forget about it. buts its worth a try to move it into a more accessible account.

You will need staff attention. Someone has flagged this thread for their attention, so all you can do is wait.

If you no longer have access to the email address, the only other form of ID that I can accept would be the API key from your welcome email.
Otherwise, the best I can do would be to make the blog private, since you were able to at least tell us what the email address was.
