I have a second account which I am trying to log into but I must be using the wrong password. I have clicked on the forgotten password link but I’m not getting the email to reset it. The username for my other account is clairehardy, could you tell me the email address linked with that account please.

Although we can’t give out the account info without proof of ownership, some options exist to recover the account.

https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/Since you already tried resetting the password, I recommend reviewing the options for the account recovery form here:
https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/#account-recovery-formFor example, If you have the activation link sent to your email address when the account was created, you can use that with the account recovery form.

Thanks for your reply. I’m not sure if we have al of the information that is needed to recover the account but I will have a look. Are you able to confirm if the account with the username of clairehardy does still actually exist please?

I can confirm that the account exists, but it seems there are currently no websites linked to it. Could you kindly let us know why you need access to this WordPress.com user account? Are you trying to log into a specific website? Once we have that information, we’ll be more than happy to advise.

Hi the account used to be linked to movetheworld.co until last week. My business partner Megan set the site up and then around February, she left and ownership of the site was to be passed to me. The ‘clairehardy’ account was given all permissions and was updated. I was under the impression that moving ownership of the site was in progress to that account. We then had a problem with the site last Thursday and when it was fixed, the ‘clairehardy’ account stopped working and then this account, ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’, started working.
I think what I need to understand, and maybe you can advise me, to move ownership of the account, is it better to have it moved to ‘clairehardy’ or can ‘(email visible only to moderators and staff)’ (this account) be upgraded to be the owner?

Sites on WordPress.com are owned by the individuals that set them up, and not by the organization they are employed by. We do have a process in place for transferring ownership of a site (and all upgrades) but it must be initiated by the person that set them up originally:
You can transfer ownership of a site or blog to another WordPress.com user account by following the steps in this guide. Step 1: Add the New Owner To start, invite the new owner to the site, assigning them the Administrator role: Visit your dashboard. Navigate to Users → All Users. Under the Team tab, click the Add a team member button. Select the Administrator role from the RDo you still have the ability to reach out to Megan for assistance with this transfer. We would need to hear from her directly but once we have her approval we can help with the rest.
