Email address not changing

I have started to recieve emails to my personal email address as I thought it would be easier to keep it all in one place, but when I try to change it back to my business email it says it is already in use. The business email address is the one I set up my wordpress with and is only used for this site. Why can I not change it back (it wont let me) and if I can get around this and change it back to (email visible only to moderators and staff) how? I need to be able to reply to people who contact me with my business email not my personal one.

Hi there, I am not entirely certain which email address you’re attempting to change. Is this your account email address? Your Custom Domain contact? An email link on one of your pages/posts/widgets?

Hi, thank you for responding.
The email address is the account email. I changed it so that the comment notifications came to my personal email account for ease. However when I needed to respond to an email I decided to change the email address back to my business one and found that it said it was already in use.
I can’t find a solution in the links though and just want the email address for all of my WordPress to be (email visible only to moderators and staff).
