Email address on my account

  Hi there, I’m just starting to create a website. When I to to Account Settings to enter my email address, (email visible only to moderators and staff), it gives an error message ‘That email address is already being used.’ But that’s the address associated with this website I’m creating, http://www.classmatters.org.wordpress.com.

  The field defaults to another email of mine, (email visible only to moderators and staff), associated with a nonprofit WordPress site on which I’m an administrator, http://www.classism.org. It’s important that the two accounts don’t get confused (one personal, one business, but with related topics.)

  Can you please help me enter the appropriate email address? Thanks.

  Hello there,

  It looks like there’s a WordPress.com account that is using that email address.

  You would need to access that WordPress.com account, and replace the email address, in order to free it up for use with another account.
