Email Address Update Requested (and it's urgent)

    Have tried to change my email address via settings.

    I immediately received a message (within settings) entitled ‘Email Address Update Requested’. Message states:- ‘There is a pending change of your email to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxgmail.com. Please check your inbox for a confirmation link.’

    I have been sent an email but it merely states: ‘Hi there, We recently received a request to change the email address for the WordPress.com user pauldixonpianist from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff). If you made this request, you can safely ignore and delete this email. If you did not request this change, please respond to this email immediately. Regards, All at WordPress.com

    No sign of any ‘confirmation link’ here. When should I expect this, please?

    Hi there,

    The email with the confirmation link is sent to the new address, so you please need to check that address’s inbox for another email. If it’s not in the inbox, please check the Social and Updates tabs as well.
