email already used

    I have an old account @liggory with email address (email visible only to moderators and staff) which I don;t want to use. I have a new account previously set up with a different email address which I have taken over. I want to use (email visible only to moderators and staff) as the contact email address for this new account but the system says it is already in use. Can I delete the old account and then use that email address on the new account?

    Hi there!

    Yes, you can delete the account to use that email address, however, you would need to wait 30 days for the email to be released. It’s best to change the email address to a disposable one before closing the account. That way, you’ll be able to use the desired address right away.

    30 days seems pretty incredible/ridiculous but I would have already used a temporary email if there hadn’t been an issue with my hosting service provider too.
