EMail and DNS problem
-
So I pointed my own domain, registered at Network Solutions, at the newly created WP blog, which works fine. But then I discovered I was no longer getting email to my domain. I understand the process for changing DNS records. I input the following:
CNAME MAIL.MYDOMAIN.COM MAIL.MYDOMAIN.COM.NETSOLMAIL.NET.
MX 10 INBOUND.MYDOMAIN.COM.NETSOLMAIL.NET.
CNAME SMTP.MYDOMAIN.COM SMTP.MYDOMAIN.COM.NETSOLMAIL.NET.The two CNAMEs and MX were all the info I had from Network Solutions. It validated and saved.
My questions are:
1) How long does it take to start working? Is this a propagation issue? It has been about 14 hours.
2) I have no idea what A <subdomain> <IP> is or if I need it. It wasn’t something I saw on my account on Network Solutions. Do I need that?Any help is appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The redirect is working for me. I am in Canada. You can check the progress here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ It can take up to 72 hours for propagation to occur and we have no control over when DNS caches are cleared.

Hi timethief,
The redirect worked almost immediately. It’s my email that’s no longer coming through at (email visible only to moderators and staff).

I cannot help you with the email issue. See here for what we have available at WordPress.com > http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/google-apps-email/

Can anyone help? I feel like I have done what I can do, but I still can’t get my business email.

Try this instead of your current CNAME records.
CNAME MAIL MAIL.MYDOMAIN.COM.NETSOLMAIL.NET.
CNAME SMTP SMTP.MYDOMAIN.COM.NETSOLMAIL.NET.
(As you can see, CNAME does not include your domain name in the second value). -
