  i need to change the email associated with my account

  While logged into your WordPress.com account, go to account settings and change your email address there: https://wordpress.com/me/account

  When you click the “Save Account Settings” button, there’ll be a message saying that there’s a pending change. Check your inbox for the confirmation email and click the link within to verify your email address.
