email blocked

  I am trying to set some students up for a project. It says their email address has already been used but they never got a confirmation email and now it is blocking using that email to try to set up an account. How can I get that reset?

  Your students need to deal with this.

  Troubleshooting:
  Check your spam/junk email box. If you have an option to unblock specific email addresses, try allowing *@wordpress.com (all emails from the domain) and/or[email redacted] addresses.

  Make sure you to uncheck the box next to “Block all email updates from WordPress.com blogs you follow” on your Manage Delivery Settings page. https://subscribe.wordpress.com/?option=settings

  It has nothing to do with their emails being blocked. I have had 70+ students, over the last two days, get signed up using the same email system.

  When signing up there was a hiccup in the system and it never sent them a confirmation email.

  I try to get it to resend password and it says account doesn’t exist.
  I try to create a new account using the same email and it say the email is reserved and can’t be used.

  There has to be some way to get these reset so I can get them signed up.

  I have 3 emails that need reset and then I will have my whole class ready to go. Frustrating!

  Hi there,

  What are the three email addresses that need to be resent? They can be included here. It will show up fine for me, but users of the forum will only see obscured email addresses.

  I’ll see what I can do to get those verifications sent out!

  It actually ended up being 5 students. I working with 8th graders to start blogging and becoming better writers. I thank you for your help on this!

  I believe all of them got to the step where it was supposed to send an email and they never received it. My other 70+ students were all able to get there’s up and going. Thanks for your help!

  I’m sorry for the delay. I’ve been looking in to this issue, and myself and my colleagues have been unable to find any reference to these 5 email addresses in our system. Can you have them try to create accounts by going directly to this address:

  https://signup.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1

  If they still have problems, there may be something which I can do but this is the best method for them to create an account.
