Email Capture Widget/Tool

  Hey guys,

  Here is my website: groovethink.com

  I want fans to be able to sign up for my email list/newsletter. WordPress.com does have the “Follow Blog” widget, which does half of what I need. It has an email sign up form, but I don’t think it actually enables me to accurately capture and extract the email addresses. I tested it, and I’m sent an email once someone signs up, but is there something that would allow me to download those registered emails into a .csv file? I need to be able to actually extract the emails from wordpress and use them for email blasts.

  Does wordpress.com support something like this?

  Hi there,

  It is possible to export your email-only followers (not WordPress.com followers) from your stats page here:

  https://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=41823828&blog_subscribers&type=email&unit=1

  So, one option would be to use the Follow Blog widget and periodically export your email followers for the newsletter.

  Another option would be to start an email newsletter list on another service like Mailchimp or AWeber and include a link to your email newsletter in your sidebar. That way, you can have people directly sign-up for the service as opposed to exporting the CSV.
