Email Change

I cannot change my email address, and have tried for months. This is impacting whether or not I keep my blog with WordPress- it is a security issue as the current email address belongs to the person I hired to create my blog for me. Please change the email address for this account to (email visible only to moderators and staff) as soon as possible, or I will be forced to move the blog to a different, more secure service.

Hi Terry – Can you please try this once more? Please go here:
https://en.wordpress.com/settings/account/There, please enter the new email address. The second step is that you’ll receive a confirmation email to the new email address, and you’ll need to click a link in that email for the change to take effect. If you don’t see the confirmation email, please check your junk/spam folder.
If this still doesn’t work for you, please let me know!

I have made three more attempts, with the message now being “Unable to update email address”.
What is my next step, please? -
Hi Terry – your email is now the one you requested, so one of your attempts worked. Fantastic! I’m sorry for the trouble! Be sure to also update it in Settings->General here:
https://theforestbull.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.phpThis is a blog-specific email address, as opposed to the user-specific email you’ve already changed. The option is there because some people like to have notifications for different blogs go to different email addresses. Let me know if there’s anything else you need.
