  I would like to change the email address associated with this account. Currently the email address for this site is my work email address. I would like to change it to my personal email address – which I used for another wordpress account, but have since emptied and deleted. I keep getting the message that the email address is already in use, but I deleted the account, so it’s not in use any more. Can we get the email addressed changed to my personal email address???? Thanks!

  because we don’t want other people to have your username in the future, it is not possible to delete a WordPress.com username.

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-deactivation/

  So your old account is still around.

  You can instead transfer ownership of joyceburns359834308.wordpress.com to your old WordPress.com account by following the steps in:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
