Email change error

  Hello, I am trying to change my email address as I no longer use the email address that I registered with. When I change the email in my account settings, hit save, I get a message that says that there was an error and then it doesn’t save. Any help and direction you could with would be awesome. Thank you.

  Hi there,

  Are you using that same email address for any other WordPress.com account ?
  Each WordPress.com account must have a unique email address and so the same email address may not be used for more than one account at once.

  If this is the case, you can try to log into the other WordPress.com account that is using this email address and change the email address to something else. This will free up the email address to be used with this current address.

  You can change your email address under account settings.

  If this does not help, you can request for staff help by typing “Modlook” into the box on the right side under tags and click “add”. Someone from the staff will try to help you soon.
