Email Change Flow is BROKEN
-
I have tried multiple times to change my email from doug.kim.com to (email visible only to moderators and staff). After I make the request, I get the confirmation email. I then get a pending status.
Why so long for the wait? This is very frustrating and a pretty bad user experience.
Please change my address!!!!
Many Thanks,
DougThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Doug,
http://www.dkstudios.org/ is not hosted by WordPress.COM. Our support docs and email links do not apply to it and we do not provide support for it.
dkstudios.org is hosted by iPage

ns2.ipage.comWe provide support here only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs. That site is not hosted by wordpress.COM and you are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

If they are different sites, why do I have to authenticate JetPack through wordpress.com? I had to create a site on wordpress.com so one would think that a customer support would also from that site. It appears that your wires are crossed buddy. I just want my email released from being held hostage from you.

Hi there,
I am a Volunteer and I have no ability to hold any URL hostage. It appears what you are really asking is how do I have two URLs doe self hosted sites deleted from my WordPress.Com account. Staff can do that for you and I have tagged this thread for their assistance. They do have a backlog so be patient while waiting. Please subscribe to this thread so you are notified when they respond. To subscribe look in the sidebar of this thread, find the subscribe to topics link and click it.

You’re welcome, Doug. :)
Note that in the future you will be able to remove sites yourself.

Hi Doug.
I have tried multiple times to change my email
After requesting the change of email on your WordPress.com account, you will have received a confirmation email to the new address. The confirmation link in that email needs to be clicked on in order for the change to be completed and for the pending status to disappear.
If they are different sites, why do I have to authenticate JetPack through wordpress.com?
Jetpack is a plugin that we offer to self-hosted WordPress users. It brings all of the most powerful WordPress.com features straight to your self-hosted host, and requires a connection to your WordPress.com account in order to do this. :) You can find a little more on the background of Jetpack and how it works here:
It’s worth noting that even though your self-hosted sites are connected up to WordPress.com via Jetpack, they’re still hosted elsewhere and we’re limited in the support we can offer for them. If you’d like me to disconnect those sites from Jetpack for you, then I’d be happy to do so too. Just confirm which URLs you’d like me to remove.
Hope this helps to clear things up! Please do let me know if you have any extra questions.
