email code for paypal button only provided for "donate" not "buy now" button

  When I’m making a paypal button and the code is supplied and you’re asked to pick either Website or Email and it says to pick email (counterintuitively) why does it ONLY provide the Email option for the “donate” button and not a “buy now” button? I need people to pay, not donate. Do you know?

  I’m afraid e-commerce isn’t possible here at WordPress.com.

  If you require e-commerce/shopping cart functionality, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on e-commerce if you set up a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities.
