email confirm for joining

  I am having problems with verifying my email address. I made a mistake typing the email address and when I change it to the right one I get a error… ‘There was a problem saving your changes.’
  it will not allow me to change the email address and therefore I cannot go past the start of joining WordPress.
  What do I need to do?

  Please type both the incorrect and correct email address here. The software will redact them ie. HIDE them so only Staff can see them.

  Just so someone knows?
  I tried to change my email address again today and it still gives Error!
  All I need to do is change the wrong email address for the right one so I can start the process.
  Here is the wrong one (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  here is the right one (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  If there is a way to do this please let me know.

  Hi Kevin,

  The issue here is that the correct email address you’re trying to use is already associated with a WordPress.com account. Since email addresses cannot be associated with more than one account at a time, you won’t be able to change the address on kckcable to the correct address.

  Do you remember setting up an account on your imageskc.com address already? If so, you’ll need to do the following:

  1. Login under that account

  2. Change the email address to a third, unrelated email

  3. Log back into kckcable

  4. You will then be able to change the email address to the correct address

  Hey Kevin,

  You’re asking to delete the old account? Accounts at WordPress.com cannot be deleted. The only way to free up the email address would be to change the email on the old account to a completely unrelated email.
