Email Confirmation to get started

To get started, I need to verify my email address. However, Every time I try and send the confirmation email, it never comes through. I set this account up a year ago and had the same problem…

If you are a gmail user, go to the “All Mail” view to check.
You can also do an email search up in that email search box at the top of the screen (see example: http://snag.gy/OYjv1.jpg) for “@wordpress.com” – when you get the search results, scroll down to the bottom of the results and there may be a message…
Deleted messages match your search. View them or go to Trash to delete forever.
Make sure to check in there as well. I know this only helps gmail users, but there are a lot of us!

Well, shoot, I’d hoped that would do the trick. I think something is up with these confirmation emails. Too many people are having problems.

Exactly – I just wish it was easier to contact WordPress directly. I understand they don’t want a flood of people contacting them with simple questions, but it seems like they might be the only ones who can help at this point. It’s very frustrating.

I ended up “fixing it” by changing my account email to an different address, and then changing it back again haha.
