Email Contact Form

  I’m attempting to add an email contact form. The WP “help” area says to insert the contact form button found in the Media area. I’ve looked at all the “media” links, widgets, etc. and I’m not seeing any button or icon that serves for inserting a contact form. Where is this icon?

  Basically you need to go to the post or page where you want to insert the contact form, go into the visual editor (there are two tabs top right of the post editor, one for visual and the other for HTML, make sure the visual one is clicked) and look above the area where you’d type your post content. You’ll see two rows (or sometimes one row) of formatting icons. Above those is ‘Upload/Insert’ and next to that three other icons. If you let your cursor hover over them you’ll see tooltip messages about what they are. The one you want is the third from the left, the ‘add contact form’ icon.
